I am an educator with an academic specialty in science education. I have served as a secondary science teacher for twenty years in addition to working at the higher education level for over twenty years - some of those concurrently.

At this time I am very pleased to announce that Fall Semester 2008, I will be moving to Young Harris College in Young Harris, Georgia. YHC is presently changing from a two year organization to that of a four year baccalaureate institution. I will be serving as Professor of Education and oversee (Director of Teacher Preparation) the design and implementation of initial certification programs with the Georgia PSC in addition to dealing with 'substantive' Education changes at the college with SACS. This web site also serves as the portal for my research for North Georgia Bluegrass - 1950-2000. This is a long-time hobby which I consider myself very fortunate to be able to pursue academically as well.
