SEBA OFFICERS and BOARD 1998
If you like to listen to bluegrass music, play bluegrass music, or would like to play bluegrass music, the SouthEastern Bluegrass Association is the organization for you. SEBA is a non-profit organization of fans, musicians, promoters, vendors, and friends of BLUEGRASS music, joined together to preserve, promote, and publicize the music and BLUEGRASS activities, and to serve as a source of information through our newsletter, THE SEBA BREAKDOWN. SEBA activities include:
All members receive THE SEBA BREAKDOWN, our award-winning monthly newsletter. THE SEBA BREAKDOWN includes informative articles, record and book reviews, bluegrass news, classified adds, and an extensive list of festivals and ongoing bluegrass events.
Come to our monthly meeting/jam sessions where members and non-members alike get together to socialize, pick, or just listen to the music. Held at the Garden Hills Recreation Center every second Sunday of the month from 3 pm to 6 pm, SEBA meetings always include a jam session and sometimes they also include workshops. Twice a year, there is an all-day covered dish "pick-a-nic". The Garden Hills Recreation Center is on Pinetree Road, a few blocks from the intersection of Peachtree Street and East Wesley Road in the Buckhead section of Atlanta.
SEBA provides each member with a directory of names and phone numbers of all SEBA members who wish to be in the directory. Since the SEBA membership includes a large percentage of the BLUEGRASS musicians, promoters, and fans in the area, the SEBA DIRECTORY can be a very valuable resource for the BLUEGRASS enthusiast.
All SEBA members can place classified advertisements in THE SEBA BREAKDOWN for free. Advertisements typically include such things as musical instruments, tapes, books, and sources for instrument repair and lessons.
