Harrison World LAB Symposium

Topic:Mars

Group Members:Fiodor

Question guiding the project:Could Mars sustain human or animal life.

Overview of the three required learning activities:
1)The first thing that I will do is to go to Fern bank.

(Fern Bank Science Center)

(Fernbank Planetarium)

2) The second thing that I will do is to go to a planetarium
3) The last thing that I will do is to interview a person who knows about my to pick.

Findings (list):
1.Mars has frozen water below it's surface.
2.Mars has frozen polar ice caps.
3.At one time Mars might have had small microbes living on it's surface.
4.Mars has a similar atmosphere to Earths.
5.Mar's atmosphere contains carbon dioxide, nitrogen, argon, oxygen, Krypton, Neon, carbon monoxide, xenon, and water vapor in it's atmosphere.
6.The temperatures on Mars range from -87.c to 17.c
7. Mars has almost half of the components of our atmosphere.

Conclusion: 1)Mars has enough frozen water and a strong enough atmosphere to support life for a short time.

Questions raised for further study:
1.Was there ever life on Mars?
2.Did it impact life on Earth?
