Addendum Description: The Assessment/Evaluation component of EDU 4050, 4060, and 4070 is designed to introduce the student to the basic concepts of Assessment/ Evaluation as it relates to “Standard-based” education and today’s ‘high-stakes’ environment. The teacher will develop the necessary skills to deal with basic assessment answering the questions, “What do you know? (knowledge base)” and “What can you do? (performance).” Students will develop an assessment system appropriate for their grade level and also develop a model for studying the impact of instruction and a means of improving instruction based on data gathering and review.
