Hello, my name is Wendell Froedge. Welcome to The Shapes of Our Lives--Geometry.  This electronic learning center is being developed for the Curriculum and Methodology 5-9 class at Lindsey Wilson College.  This learning center will be used as a lesson in my unit "The Shapes of Our Lives--Geometry.  This will be an interesting and fun project for anyone interested in mathematics on the middle grade level.  So, please take the time to enjoy this center as you learn about symmetry.


Title: The Shapes of Our Lives--GEOMETRY

Broad Objective: The students will learn about symmetry in the world today.   They will use this learning center to investigate websites and make connections with the real world.  They will learn about other cultures and how symmetry is evident in their way of life.

Overview: This site is will allow the students to explore line and rotational symmetry.  They will have several examples and opportunities to investigate for a better understanding of symmetry in geometry and in everyday life.
